Mets Ace Pitcher Suffers Shoulder Injury. [UPDATE] Kodai Senga injury: Will Kodai Senga ever play football again?
New York Mets ace Kodai Senga, who was initially dealing with “arm fatigue,” is now facing a setback as he has been diagnosed with a moderate shoulder strain. According to Anthony Dicomo of MLB.com, Senga has a moderate right posterior capsule strain in his shoulder, leading the Mets to shut him down until his symptoms improve.

This unfortunate development puts a major dent in the Mets’ plans, as Senga was expected to be a key player for them in the upcoming season. With Opening Day looming, the team will have to rely on other pitchers like Adrian Houser, Tylor Megill, or Jose Butto to step up in Senga’s absence.

The impact of Senga’s injury is magnified by the fact that the Mets had high hopes for him after his impressive debut season in the Major Leagues, where he earned All-Star honors and garnered recognition in the Rookie of the Year and Cy Young award races.

Unfortunately, Senga is not the only pitcher facing injury concerns, as Baltimore Orioles’ Kyle Bradish is also set to miss the start of the season due to a UCL issue.

How long will Kodai Senga be out?

The shoulder injury will keep Senga shut down until the symptoms calm. There’s no exact timetable for this, but the expectation is Senga won’t be ready for Opening Day and would open the season on the injured list.
